I was asked a few weeks ago to do a liver cancer awareness kit. I struggled a bit with a theme and then asked my partner in crime Omneya. She told me why not make it about a beautiful forest with animals and such. Because when you suffer with such a horrible disease, all you want is to find some peace. The forest brings that peace. That's why I tried to accomplish. I'm posting this one to the art of giving, because it holds a special meaning and I know everyone would enjoy it.

A heartfelt Thank you....

We've said from the beginning that we would never ever give out the name of the people we help. If they chose to do a thank you, that would be different. We respect everyone we help and the need for privacy.

With having said that, our dear friend Lesia K. emailed me a letter this morning with a thank you she wanted posted on the blog. Lesia is one of the reasons we started AOG. Nobody should go with out their medication, and no one should be left behind. It's our love for Lesia that made us want to try so hard to help her. We're very proud and very honored to have her as our friend and to have been able to help her in her time of need.

With that said, this is a letter that yes, is written by her and he asked us to post it:

I was diagnosed as having ulcerative colitis in 2000. It's gradually got worse since then, back in 2008 they told me that it had went from being mild to very sever. I've since doubled on meds. I was also diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis in 2001 after taking the drug Yasmin. I had my gallbladder removed along with a few other things. I suffer greatly with these two major health problems. I had a great job as a licensed optician but I had to give that up because of the chronic health issues. I started tagging to take my mind off the boredom around 2000.

I met Omneya in a dark gothic tag group, we've been friend for a while now. I did not meet Shani until about two years ago. I am very honored to be both of these ladies friends, they both have such caring hearts.

I was approached back in October 2011 by Shani Kenny about being the first recipient for the AOG gift. I accepted. I was very touched that someone had cared about me enough to help. Shani and Omneya bought some supplements and enzymes for me that whole month. It helped me out tremendously. I do believe I would be in the hospital had it not been for Omneya and Shani's help. Thank you both so very much from the bottom of my heart!

Hi all! We've been busy over the last few days working on moving all of the AOG stuff.....

We're pretty excited because we've partnered up with the awesome Marsha aka FallnAngel to sell our AOG products in her store, Fabulous Art Beginnings!!!! We were so excited, as this is a quicker and easier solution to be able to reach out to everyone and to also be able to have better customer service.

One of the issues we were having was some could not do small transaction amounts with their credit cards and paypal. We searched out alternatives and we were just having issue after issue.

Another reason we went to FAB was so that you guys can do all your shopping and get your downloads at once! It's the ease of shopping like you would for any of your PSP stuff. Note that you STILL have to email us for your license numbers for the tubes and our TOU still stands.

Some may have concerns with if the money still goes soley to AOG. The answer is yes. There is nothing changing with that. The money still goes to the AOG funds just like before. We're keeping records still and when it comes time to help someone, we will have it.

Our auctions will still happen here on the blog too. We'll announce the auctions as we get the stuff!

Ok so here is the deal...

Being that this blog is charity based we really need a strong following to be able to help those in need. I am gonna leave this open until Halloween (I know random but I will remember the date I decided). All you gotta do is comment here. It would be really nice if you shared the blog too. Thank you for stopping by to check out our blog. The Art of Giving was an idea brought up by two friends who wanted to see more given to those in need. As a part of the Tagging and PSP community, we've seen a lot of heartache and sadness happening. The recent floods back east, the hurricanes, so many natural disasters that are effecting our friends and family. There are those who we see are in need and sacrifice and go with out their medical needs because of the cost. It's sincerely sad and disheartening.

For us, it's time to give back to the community. To reach out and help others, and that is where you all come into place. As time goes on we'll have different things up for sale on the blog. Links to auctions, or give aways along with artwork, scrap kits, possibly tubes and more.

We also have a donate button to the left on the sidebar, if you would just wish to donate a few dollars for the cause. Please understand this is NOT for our gain! This is to honestly and lovingly help others in need. We will have a process that we will go through to decide who to help, and there will be receipts as well as a spread sheet tracking the funds.

We are still working out the kinks, so please bare with us as we set everything up.
